KL Sweet Trip by Yii Siew Chiang

~ KUALA LUMPUR ~

I come from Sarawak, I am honored came to KL to continue my study. Therefore, I take this opportunity to share with you a short trip in Kuala Lumpur which happened in last midterm break. We had spent among three days and two nights in KL. Malaysia is a fulcrum of Southeast Asia tourism as one of the world's ten most-visited countries, and KL id the most popular city over 1.6 million residents. 

Genting Highland

It is a nice trip since last mid semester break and has a good impression and memory with KL.

A beautiful date, 8/4/2013 is the first day for me to know more about KL. When my friend arrived KL and reach KL central, we start our first journey-Genting Highland after had our lunch.

Genting Highlands also known as Resorts World Genting, is a Hill Resort in Malaysia developed by  Genting Group. It is nestled on a mountain peak within the Titiwangsa Mountains on the border between the states of Pahang and Selangor of  Malaysia.

We use the bus go to genting skyway lower station and take a relaxing, scenic ride up to Genting on Skyway cable cars. This is the first time I take the cable car. I am scary but after few minutes, I start enjoy it with natural scenery. The Awana and Genting Skyways provide breathtaking views of the surrounding hills at a comfortable speed and I enjoy it.I like the view and the fresh air of Genting Highlands.

Snow World  > <

Snow world is the first station we go. We have a fun in snow world. It is realy cold. The new SnowWorld is a whole new enchanted attraction that houses fantasies and wonders on a fairyland high at the peak. i am excited and really enjoy in walk into SnowWorld in First World Plaza. I felt cold but it is relaxing.

Casino > <

After that, we going to casinos and I am already 24 years old, sure need have a look on casino. Genting Highlands has remained the only legal gambling outfit in Malaysia. It’s really full with tourism come for legal gambling. Nice experience when looking other gambler gambling there and I am good girl, never touch…

On the next day, the theme park had selected by us to have fun on that wonderful theme park. The resort has three theme parks which are Genting Outdoor Theme Park, First World Indoor Theme Park and Water Park. 
Although we went to theme park, we don’t have to go in for fun. I’m excited when there is a lot of irritating game in theme park such as pirate ship, corkscrew, grand prix fun kart, spinner bumper boat, space shot and flying coaster. 
The funny one is that, no one game which I can affordable with my weak heart---it is too horror and scary. 
After that, we go shop around the amusement park. The area is filled with hotels; they all offer some kind of entertainment, that being in the form of an amusement-park, or in the form of a casino. After walk around the amusement park, we go back to KL city.  Entertainment and fun are the main reasons why i visit the place. Moreover I also come here to temporarily escape the heat of the capital Kuala Lumpur.

 KL TRIP

Let brief a bit for my KL trip.

I have a very nice dinner at famous restaurant, JOGOYA Japanese Buffet Restaurant. Jogoya's flagship Japanese buffet restaurant on the Relish Floor of Starhill Gallery, Kuala Lumpur has attracted me.  The whole interior design is made based on the 'flowing' concept. Using the highest quality of ingredients (Pork Free), the creative and skilled chefs at Jogoya have prepared more than 200 dishes of different style like Chinese, Western, Japanese, Malaysian and a lot of other styles. Besides that,  I have nice shopping experience at KL and first time having lunch at theme restaurant----T Bowl. It’s look disgusting but nice taste. Like it.

Moreover, KL trip is not allow did not go to twin tower and suria klcc.

After that, we go aquaria for appreciate colorful marine life. It is really full with marine life and it is more colorful than what I expected.

After that, we go for next destination…pulau redang…Natural is beautiful…I like this natural scenery and marine life so much~ 

         Finally, we have a happy ending during my KL trip.

Redang Island, locally known as Pulau Redang, is one of the largest islands of Malaysia where located in the northeastern coast of Terengganu. Pulau Redang is recognized as one of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia. Redang Island provides people a peaceful place to rest and to holiday. The busy city people can take a vacation at Redang Island.

Redang Island together with other 8 neighboring islands (Lima Island, Paku Besar Island,Paku Kecil Island, Kerengga Besar Island,Kerengga Kecil Island, Ekor Tebu Island,Ling Island, Pinang Island) are known as the Asia paradise in the South China Sea regions.     

Pulau Redang is the biggest of all the islands in the Marine Park,measuring about 7km long ang 6 km wide. Its highest peak is Bukit Besar at 359 metres above sea level.

The other nearby islands of Pulau Perhentian Besar,Pulau Perhentian Kecil, Pulau Lang Tengah, Pulau Kapas and Pulau Susu Dara, all the islands above are also gazetted and protected as Marine Parks.

Today, only the bigger islands like Redang, Lang Tengah, Perhentian and Kapas have resort facilities for visitors. The management of Marine Parks primarily involves protection of the sensitive marine and terrestrial ecosystems by controlling the impact from human activities. These include waste and pollution management and conservation of coral reefs and terrestrial habitats.

For your information, the 2000 film, Summer Holiday was filmed on the Laguna Redang resort, and a replica of the tea house now serves as the resort's gift shop.

Ok,lets start our journey to Pulau Redang

How we arrived at Pulau Redang:

1. First of all,we arrive at Kuala Terengganu Airport by plane at 7.55am,we took taxi to hotel.

2. We check in to DJ Citi Point hotel at 2pm,we stay at Terengganu for one night.

3. The next day early in the morning, we woke up and walked to the Jetty Shahbandar nearby to our hotel.

4. Around 10 o'clock there was ferry fetched us to Pulau Redang.

HOhoho...Here we are for our holiday...

Kindly, this is the first time I visited to Pulau redang.

My friends and I, totally 8 persons had visited Pulau Redang at 14 April 2013. What a mighty team, I’m happy because our journey was full of joy. We had fun in these 3 days 2 nights. Our Redang trip is full with memorable and happiness.

Snorkelling

Oh Yeah! After resting, is time for snorkeling….

This was the first time I experience snorkeling. I could not swim; I was scared to swim into water. Because of my timid, I missed a lot of beautiful fish and coral.  Accodrding to my friends, we are able to see all of the kind of marine life: sea fans, soft tree corals, cup coral, nudibranch, sea stars, sea urchin, snappers, rabbitfish, groupers, silver barracudas, clownfish, triggerfish, parrotfish, hammerheads, leatherback turtle, hawksbill turtle, olive ridley turtle, green turtle, whale shark, eagle ray and so on.

After snorkeling, we enjoyed our teatime at the restaurant there.

We were served by many delicious foods. All the food served as buffet.

After we had our high tea, my boyfriend and I decided to take photos. The seaside was nice. It was cloudy day. Both of us were holding hand walking along seaside. It was my first time walked together with my boyfriend. My boyfriend helped me took photo. We also ask foreign tourist help us took photo. While we were walking, my boyfriend told me regarding our future plan, we shared our thought. It was so touch and romantics.

My boyfriend and i woke up early in the morning at 6.45am to watch sunrise. Unfortunately, it was cloudy day,it was raining.

Both of us purposely chose this signage to take picture as Summer Holiday movie was taken at there. Well, hope both of us can sustain our love together just like the story line showed in Summer Holiday movie.

That’s all from me. I enjoy the trip so much; I also recomend people to visit Pulau Redang. It is a beautiful place. Pulau Redang is a good vacation place for relaxation.  Well, Pulau Redang is a good place for couple to visit. The sea view is beautiful. The atmosphere is suitable to couple to enjoy their sweet time. Hopefully, the beauty of Pulau Redang can preserve and crystal clear water can sustain.
